As each of these are handmade, the size varies slightly, but this bead is approximately 6 - 8 mm.

Kazuri means small and beautiful in swahili and that is the absolute best description of these beads. I had the pleasure of visiting several Kazuri stores in Kenya and actually going to the Kazuri factory in Karin, Kenya (right down the road from the famous home of Karin Blixen, looks just like the movie!).

The SilverChicks have a fondness for the Kazuri beads, they are handcrafted by women who work diligently to improve themselves and the lives of their families, and they are truly artisans. Each bead is handmade and hand painted.
